In 2025, Hayley was commissioned by HOTA’s Education team to create a bespoke sculptural artwork for the annual HOTA Education Awards. She produced a series of wooden cubes, each hand-painted with layered acrylics in her signature abstract style.

Hayley’s cubes were designed to embody the award values of enthusiasm, creativity, artistic skill, leadership, dedication, and community connection. Each side represents one of these core values, collectively celebrating the diverse strengths and achievements of young creatives.

The cube form symbolised the building blocks of creativity, linking to the idea of childhood learning and growth. Hayley envisioned the award recipients engaging with their cubes in a creative and personal way, allowing each piece to become a reflection of their own strengths and imagination.

HOTA (Home of the Arts) is the Gold Coast’s leading cultural precinct, dedicated to fostering creativity and connecting communities through arts and culture. The HOTA Education Awards honour the artistic achievements of upper primary and secondary school students studying the Creative Arts. 25 awards are distributed to local school on the Gold Coast.
