In the summer of 2025, Hayley participated in Self Spaces, a four-day weaving intensive as part of the City of Melbourne’s SIGNAL Summer Program. Mentored by Melbourne-based artist Rachael Wood (Wunder Weave), participants explored themes of identity, belonging, and self-expression through contemporary weaving practices.

The program culminated in a collaborative exhibition featuring woven artworks displayed alongside ceramic sculptures and a soundscape created by fellow SIGNAL artists.

SIGNAL is the City of Melbourne’s creative arts studio for young people. Through artist-led workshops, mentorship, and collaborative projects, it supports emerging creatives to develop their practice, experiment with new ideas, and gain industry experience.
